Nesekem the Herald struggles as the weakest Mythic in Diablo 4 despite strong stats

Nesekem the Herald has long been considered the weakest Mythic weapon in Diablo 4, even though the Spiritborn class is one of the strongest in the game. On its own, this Mythic glaive has decent stats and a unique effect, but the fact that only Spiritborn can use it really limits how flexible and useful it can be compared to other Mythics.

Looking at Nesekem's stats, it offers a solid boost: +400% damage to elites, +200 to all stats, +1200 maximum life, +250% critical strike damage, and +450% overpower damage. These bonuses sound powerful and seem like they should provide a big advantage. The unique affix is also interesting—it marks a random nearby enemy every two seconds, making that enemy vulnerable. Attacks against marked enemies always critically strike and overpower until you hit them 10 times, at which point the mark disappears. This adds a tactical layer where you focus fire on marked foes for guaranteed powerful hits.

However, the problem is that despite these solid numbers, Nesekem doesn't measure up to other Spiritborn Unique weapons like Rod of Kepeleke or Wushe Nak Pa. Those weapons come with stronger affixes that better complement the Spiritborn's top builds, making them the preferred choice. Because of this, Nesekem ends up being overshadowed and rarely seen in competitive gear setups. If Nesekem was usable by more classes or combined with better gear options, it might be seen more often, but its limited usage keeps it in the shadows.

The introduction of Season 10's Chaos Uniques mechanic has the potential to change that. Chaos Uniques let some Unique items appear in gear slots that they normally wouldn’t, including certain weapons. For Spiritborn players, this means the chance to mix and match key Unique weapons in new ways. Notable Chaos Uniques now available include the Rod of Kepeleke, Wushe Nak Pa, and several unique armor and ring pieces.

With four different Unique weapons in the Spiritborn's Chaos pool, players can experiment with builds that include Nesekem while using other top-tier weapons in non-standard slots. This creates more room for creativity and lets Spiritborn wield combinations of gear that weren't possible before. Suddenly, Nesekem the Herald gains more relevance, as it can fill a weapon slot withouta forcing the player to give up other important Uniques. You can learn more now from u4gm.com.
